ISAP™: Intense Sequence Annotation Pipeline

To deal with the vast quantities of sequence data being generated by the various sequencing projects, MGL has developed an automated and advanced system for comprehensive sequence analysis and annotation for novel sequences and genomes. Our approach can be used for high-throughput analysis of sequence data as it is generated. This can also be used as an application emphasizing regions of interest to researchers to identify genes responsible for disease.

MGL has now designed and developed an "Intense Sequence Annotation Pipeline (ISAP)™", which is unique in terms of functional annotation it provides to a novel sequence.

The pipeline consists of five major components:

  • Raw Data Gathering and Archival
  • Quality Assessment and Sequence Editing (Feature Identification)
  • Sequence Annotation
  • Novelty Assessment
  • Description or submission to local and public databases

ISAP generates a printable report of each individual analysis and a comprehensive report of all the analysis done for individual sequence as well. ISAP can help you build your gene model, which could be authenticated using the ISAP mapping feature.

ISAP is designed to ease and accelerate routine investigation of new functional annotations on unknown sequences through interactive and user-friendly query interfaces. A simple database is used to store query formats and parameters, as well as to store the results of the concerned queries.
